Annemariet González - Afro Cuban Dance

After eight years of ballet education, Annemariet graduated from the National School of Ballet in Havana, Cuba, in 1999.

She danced for ten years in the ICRT Ballet company in Cuba and toured Asia, Europe, and  Latin America. From 2009 until 2015, her dancing career continued as a freelancer.

 

Annemariet led the dance department at Mayeusis, a conservatory in Galicia, Spain.

She was the main Ballet teacher, choreographer, and Artistic Director of the institution's dance festivals!

In 2016, she moved to Oslo and instructed at "Den Norske Balletskole" until she moved to Stavanger in 2017 and began working in Stavanger Kulturskole and the  University of  Stavanger. 

This incredible dancer and inspirational teacher is the main instructor of the Talent Regional program in Ballet (TaDa) and the Ballettprogram at Stavanger Kulturskole. where she teaches: 

Ballet, pre-pointe shoe training, all levels of pointe shoe, repertoire, and also teaches others how to choreograph.

As if that was not enough of a resumé, she also teaches all levels of ballet and Afrocuban at UiS.
